Renee's is great place to have breakfast. Delicious, creative dishes which are reasonably priced and served by a very friendly staff. I often stop in for a relaxing breakfast.
You can get a normal run of the mill bacon, eggs, and home fries or a really creative omelet, french toast, or pancakes. Eclectic atmosphere. Cool place, delicious food, good prices, give it a try, you'll like. Only downside - street parking is difficult especially with the adjoining bridge construction. -

The other reviews about this place are fair and accurate. The staff is welcoming and make you feel like you're visiting their house for breakfast. The food is what you'd expect. The menu is smaller than your average diner with the same prices. The coffee needs improvement - higher quality and stronger blend. The home fries were also unremarkable and bland. It was nice for a change of pace, but there are better places for breakfast in the Slate Belt.

Renee's has it all. There is always some witty or surly banter going on. The booths are luxurious. There's whimsy. They have flair for miles. I really appreciate mismatched coffee mugs. Get some french toast or eggs or whatever from here any day of the week. There is a stylish mannequin.

Nice diner... Great bacon, and an amazing staff. Cash only, but nicely priced. I would definitely recommend

Renee's Cafe is simply the best breakfast establishment I've ever visited. The food is unparalleled. The atmosphere is eclectic and charming and welcoming. When I moved out of state for a year, I tried like hell to find a good place for breakfast but nothing came close to this restaurant. This place is even better than the food you get in the city! Probably the only genuine eatery in the Bangor area.
